I took picture on Saturday. A high pressure system in the north of Scotland provided excellent weather for our hike up the highest mountain in the British Isles. This kind of air clarity is a rare occurrence in Scotland especially in the highlands, so we were incredibly lucky to be there for it. I would have loved to have been there for sunrise and sunset, I hear they were extraordinary.
This view is into the wild interior of Scotland, where there are no roads for at least 30 miles in this eastern vista. The perfectly symmetrical conical peak on the far horizon is the iconic Schiehallion. I took a similar shot from the other side of the valley back in 2012 younghappy.deviantart.com/art/…
