Memory's Stain

Yeah, still rolling with this technique, why not? Inspired by the album 'Metals' by Feist.

This was taken in my local uplands last summer. A long dry period prior to my arrival sparked off a lot of wildfires up in the hills, destroying a lot of the vegetation at these sites

In this picture the black wiry stuff his charred heather branches, they creamy yellow stuff is dead sphagnum moss and the green in grass starting to colonise the area.

Grass colonising this area is bad for biodiversity, the heather, mosses and other sedges are unlikely to make a come back.
