Location: My back garden "The Jungle", Boveedy, Co.Londonderry, Ireland ________ Permission granted to *in-ni [link] for showing this image in its gallery ________ The forest right behind my house, aka the jungle. This place defines my childhood. My brothers, friends, cousins and I would spend hours and hours in here; climbing trees, manning the den, having adventures with our IMAGINATIONS.
Then the Playstation came and took over though I was a fair enough age before we got a PS1 so I wasn't totally ruined by it...however kids these days
It's a real pity that today's children are so accustomed to electronic entertainment. Most kids don't have access to real cool places like this and it's too dangerous to go out on your own anymore, so they say. It lets me appreciate the need for top quality parks for kids.
Anyway, what a nostalgic place... _______
Taken in spring (early May) ...May is now my favourite month...look at the colours!!! So green and bright and plenty of flowers; July is kinda dry, duller colours and whatnot.
There were thousands of bluebells at the time but my camera has some vendetta against them
Wow, I sooo wish I'll live in a place like this in my next life! April/May is really the best period for natural shots, 'cause the foliage is new, so I totally agree. The place is also great, but it's an Irish forest we're talking about, after all Cheers
oh gosh that is a lovely scene! the lighting is perfect! i know! my backyard turns every shade of emerald u can think of in may and in winter actually.
This is so beautiful! It must have been amazing growing up there, you're so lucky to have a garden like that The Playstation will have to do for those of us without epic gardens like yours
Well I say back garden...it's really a place on our farm that's so rocky that my ancestors didn't think it worth while to fell the trees to cultivate the land.
Seriously! nice job!!
