The River Bann, longest river in Northern Ireland and flows from the Mournes in Co. Down into Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in Britain, the river emerges at the northern end to flow 60 km to the sea at Portstewart. It drains 40% of Northern Ireland.

This picture was taken on Christmas Eve in the big freeze.
