The last autumn colours 4

Location: Hillhead road Forest, Boveedy, Kilrea, Co. Londonderry, Northern Ireland

I was disapointed when I arrived in the forest to find that all the birch leaves had mostly fallen and the place was fairly dull looking. I then came across a tree with bright yellow and orange foliage growing in a sea of bright green sphagnum moss. So things were good again, though I did get my feet wet and as I was wearing shorts, my legs were bleeding from so many briar cuts and nettle stings!
